What we did
Technological Development
The project
We developed two internal PWAs for Amdocs international. One app lets the employees report their working hours, vacations and special events, while the other makes it easier for them to submit reimbursement requests for travel expenses related to their global work.

Technologically Speaking

Building with PWA allows us to package our development for the web in an interface that looks and feels like a user friendly easy to use mobile app.

The time reporting system replaces a legacy system, allowing managers to create reports and easily follow up on missing reports throughout the month. We used AI to let managers identify employee behavior patterns and help solve issues before they escalate. 

We worked shoulder to shoulder with a dedicated Amdocs team on the UX analysis and design.

The project went live in stages, with the first two going live in production, realcommerce continued to work diligently on the next steps, which include dashboard screens for managers and additional reporting capabilities.

The app includes a reimbursement feature that lets employees take a picture of their travel expense receipts, which are then decoded with an OCR component, thus sparing the time and hassle of entering the data manually.

The Experience

The systems were received very favorably among Amdocs employees and managers since they make reporting and follow-up easier with modern interfaces for mobile, without needing to use the organization's desktop computers.

The Technologies

We developed app using a mobile-first approach. the PWA was coded in Angular integrating to the systems that run on Amdocs servers.

Achievements

Amdocs employees now have remote access to their reporting needs, while the systems we developed, replace a legacy system user interface that was accessible only from the company's offices.
